‘Manmarziyan’ director denies delays to schedule

BizAsia reported yesterday that Ayushmann Khurrana and Bhumi Pednekar’s ‘Manmarziyan’ was on hold. However, director Ashwini Iyer Tiwari has denied that there is any delay.

“Ayushmann hasn’t abandoned the film. Also, we will start shooting by mid-September or early October once he finishes his other film with Parineeti Chopra,” said Iyer Tiwari, according to TOI.

The previous director Sameer Sharma is thought to have abandoned the venture after only a few days of the shoot. However, Iyer Tiwari confirms that she will be starting fresh, “We aren’t going to use any portions which have already been shot and plan to start afresh.”

The film will see Khurrana and Pednekar reuniting after the success of ‘Dum Laga Ke Haisha’ (2015) which marked the latter’s debut.
