Mani Ratnam plans biopic with Rensil D’Silva

As the Hindi film industry become more and more intrigued with making a film based on ones life, filmmaker Mani Ratnam has apparently been wanting to make such a film for a while.

News has it that the filmmaker has been working with director Rensil D’Silva on a script for the past several years. When contacted D’Silva himself confirmed the news.��”Mani and I have been writing something since 2007. Mani wants me to direct it myself. It’s a biopic but not on any sports personality or freedom fighter. It’s about a person who travels from rags to riches. A man who built and set up his own company,” Hindustan Times reported the filmmaker stating.

As not much else is being revealed, the makers seem to want their audience to keep guessing as to who’s life will be expressed on screen. For now, audiences will just have to wait for some more clues.
