Mani Ratnam hospitalised in Delhi

Filmmaker Mani Ratnam has been admitted to hospital in Delhi due to cardiac problems, BizAsia can confirm.

Hindustan Times reports that neither Ratnam’s family nor the hospital authorities were willing to provide any further information about him but that it was confirmed that he was stable.

Ratnam has a number of South films to his name and his most recent Bollywood movie was ‘Raavan’ in 2010 which starred Abhishek and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. The premiere of the film was in London.
