News has been doing the rounds of Mahesh Bhatt and Vikram Bhatt having a fallout with Fox Star Studios, the distributors of their last release, ‘Mr X’. However, both of the men have gone on record to clear the air and state that they blame only themselves for the failure of the ambitious film.
Speaking toMid Day, Vikram said, “Any director who passes on the buck when his film does not do well is no director at all. I fail and I learn… In my 23 years as a director, I have seen that there is a natural process of elimination in the entertainment industry. Unwillingness to accept blame is the first symptom of such elimination.”
Mahesh Bhatt, on the other hand, took to Twitter to clarify the situation. ”BLAME ME: It is content and content alone which is responsible for a film’s failure. Mr X bombed at the box office because of my content,” he tweeted.
The sci-fi film, starring Emraan Hashmi and Amyra Dastur, released in both 2D and 3D last month.
