Mahesh Bhatt: “Alia’s private life is private”

As a father Mahesh Bhatt has been said to be always forthcoming with advice, as often told by his daughter Alia Bhatt. However, if one asks him about her and his other children, he says he prefers to stay out of their personal lives.

Mahesh spoke in detail about Alia to Hindustan Times, ���I respect her right as an individual, having a life of her own and I have no business to step into it. Even now when she is grown up, if I want to enter her room, I�۪ve to knock the door three times. If she is free then I open the door, else not�۝.

���I am proud of my little girl and I applaud her every time I see her doing something sensational in the world of performing arts. But her private life is private, I�۪d never gatecrash into the lives of anybody, not even my children,�۝ he went on to say.

Talking about when Alia is linked to her co-stars, he commented, ���I also grew up in this world. I fell in love, had relationships ��� some worked some didn�۪t. I�۪m her father, I�۪m a friend and I respect her. She�۪s in charge of her own destiny, she�۪s in the driving seat of her own journey and we must respect that�۝.
