‘Maa’ to end on ZEE TV after just three months

ZEE TV’s early primetime show ‘Maa’ is set to end, according to reports out today.

The show produced by Shakuntalam Telefilms’ stars Amarr Upadhyay, Vineet Raina and Chitrapamaa and started barely three months ago. TellyChakkar reports that ‘Maa’ will end on ZEE TV India on Friday 17th April (end of April in UK).

Actor Vineet Raina confirmed the news to TellyChakkar but denies that the show۪s fate has anything to do with the TRPs. The actor says, “We were informed by the producer that the show is ending on 17th March. It was shocking to hear the news as we are doing a decent job considering the time slot it is airing in. The show has been quite consistent in its performance and hence I don۪t think TRPs can be a reason for the show۪s pull off.”

Recently, ZEE TV has axed ‘Kasamh Se’, ‘Rakhi’, ‘Monica Mogre’ and ‘Naginn’ has been reduced in telecast from thrice a week to just once per week.
