Lyca Media radio stations to air Ramadan shows

Lyca Media’s newly acquired London radio stations will be broadcasting two special shows to coincide with Ramadan.

Maher Khan who has defected from Sunrise Radio, will present Azaan (prayers) five times per day during the Ramadan period. Talking to BizAsia, Khan said, “The programmes will consist of Waqte Sahar programme at the beginning of the fast, which will be on for one-hour between 02:00 – 03:00 according to the time of sunrise. The evening programme Waqte Iftar will be at the time of breaking of fast that between 21:00 – 21:30 according to the time of sunset.”

Khan added that this will be her 24th year of presenting Ramadan programming on radio. Her Ramadan output will simulcast on Radio 1458AM and 1035AM in London.
