Kumar Sanu apologises after son Jaan’s comment on Marathi on ‘Bigg Boss 14’

On Wednesday, Jaan Kumar Sanu apologised for his comment on ‘Bigg Boss 14’, but popular singer Kumar Sanu also expressed an apology to the people on behalf of his son.

For those who missed the radical scene, the comment came from a situation of frustration in ‘Bigg Boss 14’. Jaan Kumar Sanu is currently in the place for possible eviction, with Nikki Tamboli, Rahul Vaidya and Pavrita Punia.

On Tuesday, Jaan was upset towards Rahul who had nominated him, saying that he was only appearing on the show because he is Kumar Sanu’s son. What is more, best friend Nikki was chatting with Rahul, rather than supporting and comforting him.

The climax came when Jaan Kumar Sanu, clearly feeling excluded, said, “Don’t talk in Marathi, I get irritated”, whilst Nikki and Rahul continued having a conversation in Marathi. Many audience members highlighted this comment as being insulting.

MNS leader Ameya Khopkar and Shiv Sena MLA Pratap Sarnaik insisted on apologies from Jaan and Colors, warning that otherwise they may stop the shooting of the show. In response, Kumar Sanu called it a “nalayak galti” from his son, expressing that he shouldn’t have made such a comment about language.

Indian Express reported Kumar Sanu saying, “I have not been living with them for 27 years. I don’t know what kind of upbringing his mother has given them.

“As a father, I would like to apologise for his actions” he added. He has been living separately from the family but still feels responsible.

During a video uploaded on Sena’s mouthpiece Saamana’s Facebook page, the singer mentioned that he wanted to apologise to the Maharashtra government and people since he has the utmost respect for the state which had given him everything in his career.
