Krushna Abhishek not disheartened by moderate response to ‘Comedy Nights Live’

Colors’ new comedy king, Krushna Abhishek says he is not disheartened by the moderate response his new show ‘Comedy Nights Live’ has received.

Talking to Mumbai Mirror, Abhishek said, “Twitter reactions apart, the response has been moderate. I’m not disheartened easily. When we kicked off Comedy Nights Bachao, we were told it wouldn’t work, but we’ve had Salman Khan and Shah Rukh Khan on the show. When Comedy Nights with Kapil started, the TRPs weren’t encouraging either, they picked up. Kapil has been doing a fab job, give the audience time to accept the change.”

He also told the publication that there was plenty of stars that will be dropping by on the show soon, which would boost ratings. He said, “The channel has confidence in our team, we’re working hard to make it successful. Kapil is one of the finest stand-up comedians in the country, I’m a fan too. But I have my own brand of slapstick comedy. He can’t dance and perform like me nor does he have a family legacy. They are big shoes to fill par ab joota pehen liya hai toh fit bhi aa jayega. We have a Shah Rukh, Salman and Aamir Khan who respect each other. Why can’t we? We’ve had Madhuri Dixit and Katrina Kaif with Salman bhai coming to wish us luck. Next up is Sonakshi Sinha.”
