‘Krrish’ franchise depends on success of ‘Krrish 3’

Krrish 3 - Raghupati Raghav

Rakesh Roshan has done extremely well with his last two films, ‘Koi Mil Gaya’ (2003) and ‘Krrish’ (2006), where the third instalment is set for release later this year. The director has expressed, that the continuation of the ‘Krrish’ franchise resides in the success of ‘Krrish 3’.

“If this movie (`Krrsih 3`) does well, then we will carry it forward. It is the only film with a story going ahead ? it is just not the name, it is the film where the story is continuing with `Koi Mil Gaya`, `Krrish` and `Krrish 3` where you can identify all the characters,” ZEE Newsreported the director stating.

Actor Hrithik Roshan, who is seen playing the lead, spoke about his father’s development of the films, “He (Rakesh) is taking the franchise forward in a very big and challenging way. He has pushed the bar as far the imagination is concerned. As director and producer, I know what my father has been through trying to not hold back what he is creating. But being a producer (he was) thinking that how are we ever going to achieve this. It is just not possible. But then he does the impossible things.”

Talking about his role as Krrish, the actor goes onto say, “When I am faced with a challenge, I am Krrish. But then anybody can be Krrish ? it is just a mental shift. I believe that there is a Krrish in all of us.”

Set to release on 4th November, ‘Krrish 3’ also stars Vivek Oberoi, Kangna Ranaut and Priynka Chopra
