Episode 4, 27th November on STAR TV
Guests: Ranbir Kapoor & Ranveer Singh

This was definitely one of the episodes of the entire season that most people will have been waiting for with baited breath. Ranbir Kapoor and Ranveer Singh are two actors who are the best in their generation for different reasons. However, the one thing about this duo is that people are always intrigued as to whether they really get on especially as one is Deepika Padukone’s ex-flame and the other is her current beau. Johar really has raised the bar with this year’s episodes and guests already but the one with Kapoor and Singh is most definitely one for the history books.

There were a few revelations between the two but overall, they admitted they share much respect for one another’s talents. Singh was obviously and expectantly rather more emotional and giving in his affection of Kapoor but then one should not have assumed this would be any different. He was praising of Kapoor’s acting skills and, in turn, Kapoor said how Singh’s “no limitations” persona makes him feel a little scared.

Highlight of the show overall were Kapoor’s revelation about how complimentary Singh and Padukone are of each other – he even went to the length of saying he hopes they have lots of babies together. At the same time, the part where Singh admits to having padding in the famous ‘Befikre’ scene where he’s wearing just pants is one of those laugh-out-loud moments which will leave you in hysterics – “They’d have to add VFX to my red chilli”.

Johar’s hook steps Koffee with quiz comical as was his candid chat with the two men about their sex lives and, with Arjun Kapoor as a kiss object, he got them to reveal more about themselves which which could’ve been taboo if elaborated on. The rapid fire round was also interesting especially as both actors answered questions about each other in full honesty. Singh admitted he’d marry his ladylove Padukone in a heartbeart and Kapoor said there’s nothing good about being single.

The only thing that is quite noticeable that lets this episode down a little is the very significant difference between Singh’s carefree attitude and Kapoor’s guarded vibe was visible more and more as the episode went on. If there was a “happy” medium then maybe this “bromance” could’ve been portrayed on a whole new level.
