Katrina Kaif on ‘Udta Punjab’: “Shahid & Alia are unbelievable”

Katrina Kaif may have been out of the limelight recently, however, she has come forward to praise the work of the team in ‘Udta Punjab’.

At a special screening last night, Kaif was in awe of Shahid Kapoor and Alia Bhatt. She said, “I thought it was a really really outstanding film. Both Shahid and Alia have done an unbelievable job. Alia’s performance has been absolutely incredible in the film. I really think it is a beautiful movie.”

She also spoke about the CBFC controversy, “I think in the end, it has been released on Friday as supposed to and I think that is great. The director is obviously very very passionate about the subject he has chosen and he has really done justice to it. It is a beautiful film and they have done a good job.”

Commenting on news that the film had been leaked online, she said, “I think that is a bit tragic because there is an incredible amount of work which has gone into the movie and when you see the film hopefully in the cinema, you are going to appreciate the work that has gone into its making. The only thing I would urge people is that don’t watch it via piracy and instead go to the cinema, buy ticket and see it.”
