Katrina dropped, Deepika emerges favourite

Shekhar Kapur�۪s ��Paani�۪ has seen quite a cast change. Hrithik Roshan, was the original choice for the film, has been replaced by Sushant Singh Rajput. Katrina Kaif was supposed to be leading lady but now that she�۪s been dropped, it may well be Deepika Padukone who eventually bags the role.

Kapur is keen on Padukone. A source close to the film explained to Deccan Chronicle, ���Shekhar is yet to lock the star cast of the film. Apart from Sushant, no other actor has been signed yet. We�۪re in talks with other actors, but nothing has been finalised yet�۝.

The two actresses have been pitted against each other before where Padukone eventually gained the upper hand. The only film she lost out on was ��Dhoom 3�۪.
