Karni Sena urge UK “brothers” to burn down cinemas showing ‘Padmavati’

The Rajput Karni Sena may be opposing the release of ‘Padmavati’ in India but it now seems the political party is now urging its UK “brothers” to burn down cinema halls that show the Sanjay Leela Bhansali epic.

‘Padmavati’, which is yet to be cleared by the Indian film certification board, is ready for release in the UK. However, it is unlikely the film will release in the UK before its India counterparts.

Sukhdev Singh of the Karni Sena group, claiming to represent Rajput communities, told the Telegraph, “Every cinema screening Padmavti will be burnt to the ground.”

Apparently, Singh said he would ask people from the Rajput community in the UK to stage protests against the film.

Speaking on Republic TV, Singh added, “I myself wanted to go there to the UK to protest but the Indian government has confiscated my passport, so I will ask the Rajput community there to protest.”
