Kareena Kapoor Khan on ‘Udta Punjab’ censorship row

Kareena Kapoor Khan stars in this week’s release, ‘Udta Punjab’, which has been in the middle of a censorship row. The actress has finally given her view on the issue.

“There has to be some middle path churned out for both filmmakers and the CBFC because this war can’t go on and on. I think it is a brave film and the fact that it released is a triumph,” said Kapoor Khan, according to TOI.

The actress also spoke about ex flame Shahid Kapoor who is also in the film. There were reports of the two sharing an awkwardness which is something she flatly denies, “I don’t know why people are assuming that we would feel awkward. When I had said yes to this film, I didn’t even know that Shahid was in this movie. I just read the script and agreed to do it. I will continue to do that irrespective of other reasons. If there is a great script, maybe we will work together in the future too. I have worked with possibly every actor in the industry. So, I want to maintain that stand. He is also working with Saif in his next film. I think it’s silly to even answer these questions, because it just makes everybody small. I don’t want to put anybody down because it doesn’t make sense”.

Kapoor Khan plays the role of a doctor with Diljit Dosanjh as her love interest. The film also features Alia Bhatt.
