Karan Johar’s classic Shah Rukh Khan films set to expire from Netflix

Several of Karan Johar’s most iconic Shah Rukh Khan films are set to exit Netflix as the streaming platform’s licensing agreement with Dharma Productions comes to an end on 28th February 2026. Among the titles scheduled to leave are beloved classics such as ‘Kuch Kuch Hota Hai’ (1998), ‘Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham’ (2001), ‘Kal Ho Naa Ho’ (2003) and ‘Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna’ (2006).

A number of other Dharma films will also depart the platform, including ‘Agneepath’ (2012), ‘Dostana’ (1980), ‘Dostana’ (2008), ‘Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania’ (2014), ‘Kaal’ (2005) and several more.

It remains unclear where these titles will move next. Dharma Productions currently has an agreement with JioStar for exclusive telecasts on Star Gold and Colors Cineplex, prompting speculation that the films could shift to JioHotstar. Others believe the catalogue may find a new home on Prime Video. There is also the possibility that Netflix could attempt a last‑minute renegotiation to retain the popular titles.
