Karan Johar is joining hands with two prominent female film directors, Gauri Shinde and Kiran Rao, to produce their films under his ‘Dharma Productions’ banner.
Mumbai Mirror reports that he has had several meetings with Shinde. He has done the same with Rao. This puts Kiran in a kind of a spot, as now she might have to choose between her home banner Aamir Khan Productions and Dharma.
“Kiran is working on a script. She is very secretive about what she writes. I like it that way. I like to get surprised. I would like to be in a film and in whatever she does. But, I have to be honest to my creative instincts. If I don’t like it, I will not do it,” Aamir Khan had said previously.
Gauri’s film is described as a social comedy, while Rao’s film is said to be about Calcutta.
