Karan Johar has expressed his delightful experience working with superstar Akshay Kumar, saying that he’s been waiting to work with the actor for two decades and the wait has been worth it with ‘Brothers’.

“Akshay is one person in Bollywood who I was dying to collaborate with since two decades,” Johar told Mumbai Mirror, producer of ‘Brothers’.

“The wait has been worth it and none other film than Brothers could have been a better option for Dharma Productions to collaborate with the superstar. Even Akshay will agree to this,” he said.

Kumar owns an image of an action hero ever since 1990 as he performs all his daredevils stunts without using any duplicates. So, Johar found Kumar an indispensable casting for the movie. He feels that ‘Brothers’ and Akshay۪s performance in the movie will leave everyone awestruck. “On watching Brothers, you will realize that this is Akshay Kumar you weren۪t known to. I really feel honored and proud to get a chance to work with Akshay in Brothers,” he added.

‘Brothers’, helmed by Karan Malhotra, also stars Sidharth Malhotra, Jacqueline Fernandez and Jackie Shroff in leading roles.

The movie will hit theaters in Independence Day week on 14th August.
