‘The Kapil Sharma Show’ confirmed to take “short break”

Sony Entertainment Television has confirmed that its flagship weekend programme, ‘The Kapiil Sharma Show’ will be taking a “short break”.

The show has been under much scrutiny over the past few months after Sharma’s spat with Sunil Grover, followed by his health issues. There have also been rumours of a number of celebrity guests not being well treated during their apperances.

Confirming the news to Mumbai Mirror, the channel will discontinue the show for a while, to give Sharma a break. A spokesperson for the channel told the publication, “Kapil has been under the weather for sometime now. Due to which, we have mutually agreed to take a short break.”

“However once Kapil has recovered completely, we will start shooting once again. We value our relationship with Kapil and wish him a speedy recovery.”
