Kangana Ranaut first choice opposite Salman Khan in ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’

While there has been a lot written about Kabir Khan’s upcoming film ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’, many are not aware that it was Kangana Ranaut the first choice in the female lead, not Kareena Kapoor Khan.

DNA India reports that the film was offered to Ranaut initially opposite Salman Khan. However, after she rejected it, the film went to Kareena.

A source close to the actress told DNA India, “Kangana has finally found her footing in the industry with the success of Queen and people are referring her as one of the finest actresses in Bollywood today. Now she does not want to take a chance with her films and roles anymore. Everyone knows how it is. Actresses hardly get prominence in any Khan films. The entire focus is on the superstars and Kangana wants to do meaty roles rather than choosing films which will have her in a brief appearance opposite a big actor”

‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’ releases later this year.
