Kabir Khan: “Salman Khan is a simple guy”

After the success of ‘Ek Tha Tiger’ (2012), director Kabir Khan and superstar Salman Khan reunited this year for ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’ (2015), which created many new Box Office records and has undoubtedly become one of the most appreciated films of recent times. ��The filmmaker says that his leading actor is essentially a lot like his character from their recent blockbuster.

In an interview with��Filmfare, Kabir Khan said, “Bajrangi is all heart and so is Salman. He’s a superstar but he’s also a simple guy. ��If you strip Salman of all the extraneous elements that surround him, he’s a simple person. ��He lives in a one-bedroom apartment, he doesn’t have a fancy for great cars, he doesn’t believe in expensive watches or clothes. ��He is very basic. ��He needs good food, a nice place to chill, he needs his friends and family around and he loves spending time at his farmhouse. ��That simplicity is also what he brings to Bajrangi.”

The filmmaker also commented��on the film, which impressed both the audience and critics, stating, “It’s a film where I’ve finally found that optimum blend of content and entertainment.”

Kabir Khan is now ready to release his next venture, ‘Phantom’, which stars Saif Ali Khan and Katrina Kaif. ��It opens in cinemas worldwide this weekend, on August 28th.
