‘Jhankaar Beats’ sequel in the pipeline
Actor, director and screenwriter, Rahul Bose has returned to filmmaking after a gap of 15 years with ‘Poorna’.
“Directing ‘Poorna’ was thrilling. It brought three of my greatest loves together – cinema, sport-adventure and social causes,” Bose, who directed ‘Everybody Says I’m Fine!’ (2001), said in a statement given to Mid-Day.��The film is a real life depiction of a poor girl named Malavath Poorna from Telangana who created history on 25th May 2014, by becoming the youngest girl in the world to scale Mount Everest.
A part from this��directorial venture, the 48-year-old actor��who starred in ‘Jhankaar Beats’ (2003)��earlier,��will be producing a sequel to the film.�ʉ��I will produce a sequel to Jhankaar Beats. Once ‘Poorna’ releases, I will start working on it. It will be an interesting project. I will act in the film and someone else will direct it,� he was quoted saying.
Bose is also in the process of making a web series, and��is interested in producing Marathi movies. ���Marathi cinema is going through exciting times,� he said. The actor wants to make films on unsung heroes in Maharashtra.
