Javed Akhtar confirms Farhan Akhtar & Shibani Dandekar’s wedding

Farhan Akhtar and Shibani Dandekar, after four years of being together, are all set to get married on 21st February, Farhan’s father Javed Akhtar confirmed.

“Yes, the wedding is taking place,” was Javed response when asked about the event. He said that the preparations of the wedding are being handled by the planners, and they are yet to send out the invitations. Due to the ongoing pandemic, the wedding will not be on a large scale and will be a very “simple affair,” reports The Indian Express. Javed further expressed his joy that all the family really like Dandekar, and how she makes a perfect match with Farhan.

The pair reportedly started dating in 2018, and often share photos of each other on social media. Recently, on Farhan’s birthday, Dandekar shared a note for him on Instagram that said, “My Foo, to what will be your best year yet. Love you FOREVER❤ Happy birthday@faroutakhtar.”

And then on Dandekar’s birthday in August, she got a tattoo with Farhan’s name on her neck.

Farhan, who last appeared in Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra’s sporting drama, ‘Toofan’ (2021), will soon return in the director’s chair with ‘Jee Le Zaraa.’ The film is set to star Priyanka Chopra, Katrina Kaif and Alia Bhatt.
