Jackie Shroff to be seen as antagonist in ‘Happy New Year’

Rishi Kapoor has, of late, been appreciated in villainous roles which are in contrast to the role he has portrayed in his career. It seems he will now have a contender for such roles what with Farah Khan signing Jackie Shroff to play the baddie in her forthcoming multi-starrer ‘Happy New Year’.

The film will see Shroff in a somewhat challenging role after he was seen in ‘Aurangzeb’ earlier in the year. He will be seen alongside Shah Rukh Khan, Abhishek Bachchan and Boman Irani amongst others.

Recently, it was revealed that Deepika Padukone has bagged the female lead’s role opposite Khan. No doubt audiences will be happy that the two are paired together once again after the success of ‘Chennai Express’.
