Ishaan Khatter & Janhvi Kapoor to star in KJo’s Hindi remake of ‘Dear Comrade’?

After Karan Johar announced this week that he had acquired the Hindi remake rights of Vijay Deverakonda starrer ‘Dear Comrade’, there has been much speculation about who will be leading the film.

Times of India reports that the filmmaker is planning to remake the intense love story featuring ‘Dhadak’ stars, Ishaan Khatter and Janhvi Kapoor. The two newcomers starred in the ‘Sairat’ remake, which received a decent response at the box office.

Meanwhile, Kapoor has her hands full with ‘Kargil Girl’ and ‘Dostana 2’. She has also been signed up opposite Rajkummar Rao in horror comedy ‘RoohiAfza’. Khatter will be seen as the lead in Ali Abbas Zafar’s debut production.
