Major production house Hombale Films steps into overseas distribution arena
After redefining Indian cinema with landmark blockbusters such as ‘KGF Chapter 1’, ‘KGF Chapter 2’, ‘Kantara’, ‘Kantara: Chapter 1’, ‘Salaar’ and ‘Mahavatar Narasimha’, Hombale Films has announced its official entry into overseas distribution.
This strategic expansion marks a significant new chapter in the company’s journey, driven by a clear vision to take Indian cinema to a wider global audience. With a strong track record of mounting large-scale films that resonate across languages and cultures, Hombale Films now aims to build a structured and focused international distribution network.
Importantly, this initiative will not be limited to films produced by the studio itself. Hombale Films plans to collaborate with filmmakers and production houses across India to ensure diverse Indian stories reach audiences worldwide.
Over the past decade, Hombale Films has emerged as one of India’s most influential production houses, delivering not only commercial successes but culturally impactful cinema that has broken regional barriers. After producing early hits such as ‘Ninnindale’ and ‘Masterpiece’, the studio raised the bar with ‘Raajakumara’ and ‘KGF: Chapter 1’, a nationwide phenomenon that transformed the box office prospects of Kannada-language films. It followed this with ‘KGF: Chapter 2’, ‘Kantara’ and the Telugu-language blockbuster ‘Salaar: Part 1 – Ceasefire’, each setting new box office records.
