India Today to launch in the UK as a full-fledged channel on Sky

TV Today Network will be launching India Today as a full-fledged channel in the UK market this June, can exclusively confirm.

The broadcaster already successfully runs Hindi channel Aaj Tak in the UK. India Today will be the network’s second offering. Up until now, Aaj Tak and India Today have run a hybrid service with content from both channels being aired on one single channel for UK audiences.

However, for the first time, India Today will launch as an independent 24-hour service on the Sky platform this June. Aaj Tak will revert to running as a 24-hour Hindi service.

India Today will be a free-to-air channel and will broadcast in SD. Initially, India Today will launch only on Sky but it could also explore other platforms too based on how the channel is received.
