India ratings: Star Plus & Sony Pal take lead

Star Plus extended its lead over rival, Colors in the latest India ratings for the Urban region, according to official data from BARC for Week 9 of 2017.

The channel delivered 519.552 million Impressions, followed by Colors in second with 424.189 million Impressions – a gap of nearly 100,000 million Impressions between the two channels. ZEE TV was back to No.3 with 308.892 millions Impressions, followed by Sony Entertainment Television with 295.428 million Impressions and Sony SAB TV at No.5 with 289.649 million Impressions.

The top rated show in the Urban region was ‘Naagin – Season 2’ on Colors with 7.510 million Impressions, followed by ‘Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai’ on Star Plus with 7.144 million Impressions and ‘Kumkum Bhagya’ on ZEE TV with 6.706 million Impressions.

Sony Pal moved up to No.1 in the Rural region with 406.831 million Impressions, followed by ZEE Anmol with 384.967 million Impressions and Rishtey was at No.3 with 384.810 million Impressions. Star Utsav was in fourth with 352.694 million Impressions and Rishtey was at No.5 with 264.241 million Impressions

The top rated show in Rural region was ‘Naagin – Season 2’ on Rishtey with 7.829 million Impressions, followed by ‘Baal Veer’ on Sony Pal with 6.172 million Impressions and ‘Saathiya’ on Star Utsav at No.3 with 6.065 million Impressions.
