Star Plus remained India’s most watched Hindi entertainment channel in the Urban market, while ZEE Anmol ruled the Rural region.
According to official data from BARC India for Week 26 of 2016, Star Plus delivered 466,938 Impressions (last week 448,071 Impressions), followed by Colors with 429,036 Impressions (last week 430,375 Impressions) and ZEE TV in third with 323,472 Impressions (last week 321,132 Impressions). SAB TV did well moving up to fourth place with 265,434 Impressions (last week 241,373 Impressions) and Life OK in fifth with 255,096 Impressions (last week 267,413 Impressions).
The next tier consisted of Sony Entertainment Television Asia with 253,259 Impressions, followed by ZEE Anmol with 119,171 Impressions, Sony Pal with 115,509 Impressions, &TV with 114,759 Impressions and Star Utsav with 104,193 Impressions.
The biggest show in Urban market was ‘Yeh Hai Mohabbatein’ on Star Plus with 6,643 Impressions (last week 7,148 Impressions), followed by ‘Kumkum Bhagya’ on ZEE TV with 6,622 Impressions and ‘Saathiya’ on Star Plus in third with 6,245 Impressions.
In the Rural market, ZEE Anmol returned to the No.1 position with 401,267 Impressions (last week 339,857 Impressions), followed by Star Utsav with 364,616 Impressions and Sony Pal with 342,335 Impressions. In fourth place was ZEE TV with 264,101 Impressions and Rishtey with 242,553 Impressions.
The top rated show in the Rural market was ‘Jodha Akbar’ on ZEE Anmol with 7,117 Impressions (last week 6,456 Impressions), followed by ‘Bandini’ on ZEE Anmol with 5,668 Impressions and ‘Kumkum Bhagya’ on ZEE TV with 4,875 Impressions.
