India ratings: Sony TV rises to No.4 in Urban

Sony Entertainment Television continued to stride in India ratings, moving to No.4 in India ratings supplied by BARC for Week 37 of 2016.

According to official data, Star Plus stayed the No.1 channel in the Urban market with 482 million Impressions. Colors was in second place with 413 million Impressions, followed by ZEE TV with 318 million Impressions. Sony Entertainment Television did well with 301 million Impressions. SAB TV was in fifth with 278 million Impressions.

The next tier consisted of Life Ok with 273, million Impressions, followed by &TV with 139 million Impressions, ZEE Anmol with 116 million Impressions, Star Utsav and Sony Pal were next with 107 million Impressions.

The top rated show in the Urban market was ‘Shakti’ on Colors with 7.8 million Impressions, followed by ‘Brahmarakshas’ on ZEE TV with 7 million Impressions and ‘Saathiya’ on Star Plus with 6.54 million Impressions.

In the Rural market, ZEE Anmol stayed ahead with 377 million Impressions, followed by Star Utsav at No.2 with 348 million Impressions and Sony Pal at No.3 with 301 million Impressions. In fourth was Rishtey with 258 million Impressions and Star Plus was in fifth with 230 million Impressions.

The top rated show in the Rural market was ‘Jodha Akbar’ on ZEE Anmol with 6.2 million Impressions, followed by ‘Bandini’ on ZEE Anmol with 5.53 million Impressions and ‘Kasam Hai Tujhe Aa Bhi Jaa’ also on ZEE Anmol with 4.7 million Impressions at No.3.
