India ratings: Sony Pal accelerates & Star Plus leads Urban


Sony Pal has performed tremendously well in latest India ratings from BARC for Week 24 of 2017. However, it was Star Plus that led the Urban data.

Sony Pal topped Star Plus from the top in Urban and Rural ratings combined with 590.797 million Impressions, just in front of Star Plus with 584.337 million Impressions and Rishtey was in third with 573.860 million Impressions.

In Urban data, Star Plus remained the most watched Hindi entertainment channel with 387.920 million Impressions, followed by a resurgent Sony SAB TV with 307.336 million Impressions and Colors in third with 299.627 million Impressions. ZEE TV was in fourth with 279.553 million Impressions and Sony Entertainment Television next with 264.073 million Impressions.

The top rated show in the Urban region was ‘Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Little Champs’ on ZEE TV with 6.029 million Impressions, followed by ‘Naagin – Season 2’ on Colors with 5.607 million Impressions and ‘Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai’ on Star Plus with 5.292 million Impressions.

In Rural data, Sony Pal was the leading channel with 431.225 million Impressions, followed by Rishtey with 428.756 million Impressions and ZEE Anmol in third with 410.953 million Impressions. DD National was in fourth place with 259.909 million Impressions and Star Utsav in fifth with 234.371 million Impressions.

The top rated show in the Rural region was the ICC Champions Trophy Semi Finals between Bangladesh and India and South Africa and India, which delivered 9.141 million Impressions and 6.755 million Impressions on DD National, respectively. ‘Jamai Raja’ on ZEE Anmol was at No.3 with 6.189 million Impressions.
