India ratings: Colors rises; Star Plus dips

Even though Star Plus remained on top as the leading Hindi entertainment channel in India, it was Colors that was the biggest gainer, according to TAM data for Week 32 of 2011.

After a good run over the past few weeks, Star Plus dipped this week by recording 304 GRPs this week (last week 345). Colors, however, recorded 269 GRPs (last week 266).

Colors also had the top rating show in India with ‘Balika Vadhu’, which garnered a TVR of 5.2, while its talent show ‘India’s Got Talent 3’ continued to surge ahead with 3.4 for the second week running. The top 5 programmes of the week are ‘Balika Vadhu’ (5.2), ‘Saathiya’ (4.6), ‘Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai’ (4.5), ‘Pavitra’ Rishta (4.2), ‘Pratigya’ (4.0).

ZEE TV, which has lost viewership again and is just three points ahead of Sony Entertainment Televisaion Asia. ZEE TV recorded 190 GRPs (208 GRPs last week). Sony TV notched up 187 GRPs (last week 190).

SAB TV has recorded 124 GRPs (last week 125).

Imagine TV has recorded 70 GRPs in this week (last week 71).
