India ratings: ‘Bigg Boss 8’ pushes Colors to No.2

The launch of ‘Bigg Boss 8’ on Colors gave the channel the biggest push amongst other Indian entertainment channels in TAM latest data for Week 39 of 2014.

While Star Plus continued to lead with 593 GVMs (last week 580 GVMs), it was Colors that surprised many by dislodging ZEE TV in second place. The channel added 19 GVMs after ‘Bigg Boss 8’ opened up with a rating of 7.6 TVM. Colors raked in 431 GVMs (last week 412 GVMs). ZEE TV was in third place with 427 GVMs (last week 443 GVMs).

Star Life Ok was in fourth place with 307 GVMs (last week 295 GVMs), followed by Sony SAB TV with 262 GVMs (last week 269 GVMs) and Sony Entertainment Television Asia was in sixth with 247 GVMs (last week 264 GVMs).

Sony Pal was neck and neck with ZEE Network’s Zindagi delivering 26 GVMs (last week 24 GVMs), while Zindagi was down from 32 GVMs to 26 GVMs. Sahara One was bottom with 11 GVMs (unchanged from last week).
