Indi Media buys out NewsX; INX confirms deal

INX Network’s English news channel NewsX has been bought out by a newly formed joint venture.

An alliance between the NaiDunia promoter and CEO Vinay Chhajlani and former Businessworld editor Jehangir Pocha has been formed. They will take over ownership of NewsX with their company Indi Media from INX Network.

Commenting on the sale, Indrani Mukerjea, Founder and CEO, INX Media, says, “Having created NewsX as a premier English News channel brand in such a short span of time, I hope channel would continue to grow from strength to strength and would retain its credibility as it always has”.

Jehangir Pocha said he will be taking on a strong editorial role in the channel.
