In Video: Shweta Subram relives 60 years of Bollywood in ‘Bollywood Evolution’

New singer Shweta Subram has showcased 60 years of Bollywood music in her latest release ‘Bollywood Evolution’.

Hailing from Canada, Shweta Subram shot to fame when she performed with Salim-Sulaiman at the IIFA Awards in 2011 followed by collaborations with established YouTube stars like Shankar Tucker as well as with The Piano Guys. ‘Bollywood Evolution’ is a unique piece of work as it contains no instruments. Subram teamed up with beatboxer Prashant Nair to create this medley of Bollywood songs starting from the 1950s and all the way to 2014. The inspiration for this video came from a popular YouTube acapella band Pentatonix.

Produced by Qyuki, Bollywood Evolution will inspire artists to think outside the box while staying connected to familiar territories.
