Imran Khan’s father-in-law on quitting acting: “It’s his personal decision”

Earlier this week, it emerged that Imran Khan had quit acting after an admission by close friend, Akshay Oberoi. Khan has not yet made any official statement and there has been huge discussion around the subject.

Talking about the rumours, Khan’s father-in-law, Ranjev Malik affirmed Oberoi’s revelation. He told E-Times, “Honestly, it’s Imran’s personal decision and it’s not my domain either. But yes, Imran was always inclined towards direction right from the days he went to a film school.”

The report further adds that Khan’s wife Avantika Malik wanted him to develop his career in acting whereas he wanted to leave the industry. Sources have also suggested that Avantika wanted Imran Khan to start producing movies which would see him in the leading role.
