Imran Khan praises Kangna Ranut’s double role in ‘Tanu Weds Manu Returns’

Actor Imran Khan, who will be sharing screen space with National Award-winning actress Kangana Ranaut in his upcoming flick ‘Katti Batti’, was impressed with Ranaut’s act in ‘Tanu Weds Manu Returns’.

Khan was more impressed with the Haryanvi character in her double role that was played by Kangana in Anand L Rai directorial.

“I really enjoyed the film and Kangana was superb in her double role. But I preferred Datto’s character over Tanu’s”, the actor told Hindustan Times.

Khan liked all aspects of the film such as script, direction and supporting cast. Meanwhile, he was biased to Ranaut and vigorously discussed her presentation with his team.

‘Tanu Weds Manu Returns’ was the sequel to the 2011 entertainer ‘Tanu Weds Manu’ focused on the rediscovery of love between a married couple and Produced by Eros International and Colour Yellow Productions, directed by Anand L Rai. It has struck gold at the box office raking in over Rs 165 crore worldwide.

However, ‘Katti Batti’, being helmed by Nikhil Advani, is a love story. It is scheduled to release in September this year.
