Huma Qureshi happy being an “outsider”?

Over the past few years, Huma Qureshi has consolidated her position in B-town. The actress credits her success to being an “outsider” who did not make any effort to fit in and instead let her individuality stand out.

Qureshi told Absolute India, “Whoever I am today is because of the fact that I’m an outsider, because I don’t fit in. Who wants to blend in when they can stand out? I am Huma Qureshi and this is how I shape my world.”

The actress spoke about this after working on a brand commercial which centres around allowing people to dress the way they want.

She added, “Don’t let naysayers get to you, they can keep trying to pull you down. Some may ridicule you or discourage you, say mean and nasty things, spread rumors etc. But they can’t succeed if you’re focused on yourself and your work.”

Qureshi was last seen in the British film, ‘Viceroy’s House’ (2017); on the Bollywood front, her last release was the successful Akshay Kumar starrer ‘Jolly LLB 2’ (2017).
