Hrithik Roshan in Resul Pookutty’s directorial debut?

Hrithik Roshan may be gearing up for his next film ‘Kaabil’ in just over a week but talk about his forthcoming projects seems to be making headlines all the time. BizAsiaLive.com has learnt that the actor is likely to star in Oscar winning sound designer Resul Pookutty’s maiden directorial venture.

Pookutty explained that he was mightily impressed with Roshan during the process of ‘Kaabil’ and he now wants to cast the star in his own film. Pookutty is quoted by Deccan Chronicle stating, “Hrithik was hands-on from the word go. He was deeply interested and active in every department of the film. Sanjay Gupta didn’t mind at all. He believes in team spirit and he gladly welcomed Hrithik’s inputs. I was immensely impressed by Hrithik’s knowledge of filmmaking”.

He further went to on add, regarding ‘Kaabil’, “Hrithik plays a blind character. His audio-sensory perceptions are, therefore, far sharper than yours or mine. We had to create a very nuanced sound design for this one”.

Although Pookutty is keeping mum about his forthcoming film, sources have claimed Roshan will be the first actor he directs.
