2017’s ‘Hindi Medium’ managed to unite audiences and makers are definitely making a second instalment. However, Dinesh Vijan, who produced the film, has confirmed that the project is on hold until lead star Irrfan Khan is better.
“The script is complete and ready but has been put on hold until Irrfan recovers from his ailment,” said Vijan, in a recent interview with Zoom TV.
“He is not only the perfect person for the role, he is also a close friend and we have talked about putting the project on hold and that he will only reprise his role from the last film,” added the producer.
The aim is for the film to release in November or December 2019.
