Hema Malini’s driver booked for rash driving

Hema Malini’s driver has been booked with an FIR filed against him for rash driving and causing death by negligence.

The mishap, which occurred last night, resulted in the death of four-year old, Sonam. Malini was injured in the collision, which involved her Mercedes crashing into a Maruti Alto in Dausa, Rajasthan. Four others were also injured, who have been hospitalised.

The FIR was lodged under various Sections of IPC, including 279 (rash driving) and 304 (A) (causing death by negligence), and both the vehicles were seized, the SHO said.

“It is to be ascertained how the accident occurred and who was at fault,” he said.
