‘Happy New Year’ accident still taking it’s toll on SRK?

SRK still in pain?
SRK still in pain?

When Shah Rukh Khan was injured on the sets of ‘Happy New Year’ last month, there was news that he would need surgery due to his injury. However, although all those rumours were quashed, it seems Khan’s doctor is making surgery his last resort, BizAsia has learnt.

Khan was rushed to hospital when a door fell on him during the shoot of the film at a 5 star hotel. What with Khan’s shoulder already being weak, there was a lot of concern from those in the film crew and also fans but it seemed everything was ok and the actor resumed shooting after a rest of some days. However, it seems it is now Khan’s knee that is giving cause for concern. His doctor, Sanjay Desai, told TOI, “After the door fell on him, his kneecap has been badly bruised and it is quite painful. We haven’t decided on a surgery although it is always on the cards. But I gave him knee injections recently”.

The actor is extremely professional and has been known to carry out shooting for films despite being in excruciating pain. ‘Happy New Year’ director Farah Khan is a close friend of the actor’s and it remains to be seen whether she steps in and changes things for him – which she has already done.
