Guru Randhawa expresses hope to act in a romantic film

Known to many as an Indian singer, songwriter and music composer, Guru Randhawa demonstrates a wonderful variety of talent. He’s now expressed that he wants to establish an acting career in the genre of romantic films.

Randhawa has been consolidating his acting skills in his music videos, visible in his recent music videos Naach merry rani and Baby girl.

Despite being offered acting roles, Randhawa told IANS that it may not be the right time, “I don’t think I am ready for it… I will definitely do some acting, but not right now”.

Viewing Hollywood stars such as Tom Hanks and Leonardo DiCaprio as role models, alongside Bollywood’s stars Salman Khan and Aamir Khan, Randhawa claims that he is trying to learn their behaviour.

Not only has he been creating new music, but he has also been working on a new body. When the covid-19 pandemic hit the world, Randhawa said that he used the opportunity to replicate the muscular bodies of his idols, “I promised myself that I would fully transform myself over the next four to five months. So I worked hard”.

He assures fans that he will be returning to the stage soon, especially with the wedding season approaching, “we might do private shows in Delhi, Jaipur and Dubai”.

Randhawa portrayed a straightforward approach to making songs, saying “If I hear a new word, see something new, I write it and gradually they get released”. He suggests that his songs release words which people are not always able to actually say in everyday life.

When considering the origins of his creative talents, he added that the simple things in life inspire him.
