Gurinder Chadha confirms being in talks with Priyanka Chopra

Gurinder Chadha is known to be one filmmaker who always attempts to bridge the gap between Hollywood and Bollywood in her films. Therefore, many will be excited by the fact that she’s confirmed that she’s in talks with Priyanka Chopra for a film.

“I am in talks with Priyanka’s mother, Madhu Chopra, for something (referring to a film). I met her mother at Cannes and I told her I have great ideas. She said ‘yes, let’s work it out’,” said Chadha, according to TOI.

Talking further, Chadha revealed that she’s yet to tell Chopra about the film in question, “I will be going to America soon, so I will be meeting her (Priyanka) and will talk about the idea that I have”.

“She has been producing films and I hope it is international (the one that we do together). I can’t think of doing India-centric film alone as I am half British and Indian,” Chadha concluded.

Chopra’s Purple Pebble Pictures had produced some interesting projects recently and continues to remain in the news for them. Let’s hope these talks with Chadha also go well as it would be interesting to see Chopra add on an international film to her belt.
