Gurdip said: “I۪m really excited by the prospect of leading the APU. There۪s a fantastic range of programming and developing the next generation of talent both on and off-screen will be one of my key challenges. I۪m also keen to make future programming accessible to a broader range of audiences through new technology and new markets.”

BBC Head of Programmes Tessa Finch said: “Gurdip is a highly intelligent and creative programme maker. He۪s also a great team player with the experience to deliver quality and the vision and ambition to identify and pursue new opportunities.”
