Govinda & David Dhawan not spoken to each for five years

We know things have become frosty between Govinda and filmmaker David Dhawan but to the extent where they had not spoken for five years has come as a surprise.

The hit pairing are known for superhit movies like ‘Coolie No.1’, ‘Hero No.1’ and many others. However, in an interview with Mumbai Mirror, Govinda confirmed that they were not on talking terms anymore. He said, “Right. In fact, David and I haven’t spoken in the last five years. But I really don’t wish to elaborate on this.”

Asked his opinion on reports that Dhawan’s son Varun Dhawan was being touted as the next Govinda, he said, “I am happy for him. Ditto for Ranveer Singh and Kapil Sharma who also have a flair for comedy. But can you show me one newcomer, who you can assert, will go on to do 165 films like Govinda?”

Govinda was last seen in ‘Holiday’ alongside Akshay Kumar.
