GiMA 2016 to air in June on Colors

This year’s Global Indian Music Awards will be shown on Colors in June, its been confirmed.

The event now in its sixth year, is a platform created to recognize Indian music talent, with the objective of honoring and awarding them on a global level in various Film and Non-Film categories.

GiMA 2016 took place in April. It was hosted by Ayushmann Khuranna. The show included Dhruv Ghanekar, who performed the India national anthem on his guitar followed by a stellar performance by the King of Playback Arijit Singh who had the crowd clapping in unison. Sonakshi Sinha surprised the audience with her power packed performance as she performed a hilarious parody on the year�۪s most popular film songs. The star studded awards night also featured a special heartfelt tribute to Aadesh Shrivastava by legendary actor Amitabh Bachchan and Udit Narayan, Harshdeep Kaur, Lalit Pandit, Sidesh Bhosle and Divya Kumar in the presence of his family.

GiMA 2016 will air on Colors at these times:
