Geo News announces shows for Rabi-Ul-Awal
Geo News has added a 60-minute special show to its channel to coincide with the Islamic occasion of Rabi-Ul-Awal.
Rabi-Ul-Awal is the third month in the Islamic calendar. During this month, Muslims around the world celebrate Mawlid – the birthday of the Islamic Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). Muslims believe the exact date of birth of Muhammad to have been on the twelfth of this month. The name Rabi-Ul-Awal means the first [month] or beginning of spring, referring to its position in the pre-Islamic Arabian calendar. Hence this is considered to be a very blessed month.
Starting this week, Geo News will break away from its normal current affairs and news programming between 09:00 – 10:00 daily. The show will be repeated on flagship channel, Geo UK at 18:00 and 04:00 daily.
