FWICE sends notice to Alka Yagnik, Udit Narayan & Kumar Sanu

Recently, Diljit Dosanjh was warned by Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE) for his upcoming performance in the USA at an event which was promoted by a Pakistani national. All Indian Cine Workers Association (AICWA) had demanded a blanket ban of Pakistani artists in India and even Indian artists are expected to not perform at events which are supported by Pakistani nationals. Recently, Mika Singh was also banned by AICWA as he performed at the wedding festivities of the daughter of Pervez Musharraf’s cousin.

And now, reports say FWICE has sent another notice to Udit Narayan, Alka Yagnik and Kumar Sanu as they are apparently performing on 17th November this year at an event which is reportedly being organised by Pakistani national Moazzma Hunain. The body has requested them to refrain from being associated with any event that includes a Pakistani national and has requested them to cancel it, reports Pinkvilla

Dosanjh later tweeted about his incident. He wrote, “Regarding Houston concert on Sep 21, I have just become aware of a letter issued by the Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE) to me by an article published in the Mumbai Mirror today, I was not aware of any such intimation by the Federation before today.”
