Film & TV star Saeed Jaffrey dies

Indian film actor and former ‘Coronation Street’ star, Saeed Jaffrey has passed away at the age of 86.

The news was made public by by his niece Shaheen Aggarwal on Facebook. She said, “Today, a generation of Jaffreys has passed away. Saeed Jaffrey has joined his brothers and sister and is rejoicing in the lap of his Heavenly Father, eternally.”

The veteran actor starred in over 100 Bollywood films like ‘Chaalbaaz’, ‘Kishan Kanhaiya’ and ‘Henna’. He played Ravi Desai during his stint on UK show ‘Coronation Street. He also worked in big shows like ‘Tandoori Nights’, ‘The Far Pavilions’ and ‘The Jewel In The Crown’.
